4Ocean is a global movement actively removing trash from the ocean while inspiring individuals to work together for cleaner oceans, one pound at a time.
Together, they will be celebrating a HUGE milestone by doing what they do best – a cleanup! You’re not going to want to miss this! Join 4Ocean July 21st from 8 AM to 12 PM at Hugh Taylor Birch Park for a fun day of cleaning, prizes, and ocean conservation.
Their focus will be on cleaning the beach and the mangroves. Fort Lauderdale Beach attracts hundreds of thousands of people each year, which means there is always a lot of trash to be picked up. The mangrove portion of the cleanup will be lead by one of the rangers at Hugh Taylor Birch to clean where trash has been trapped, leading out to the Intracoastal.
Bring your friends, family, children, co-workers, and whoever else you know that loves to make a difference for our oceans. What better way to spend a Saturday morning than knowing you are helping to save the ocean!
4Ocean will be providing gloves and hemp bags to all volunteers and every participant will receive a 4Ocean t-shirt and 4Ocean bracelet. Water will be provided but please bring a REUSABLE WATER BOTTLE. They do not want to bring any plastic water bottles into the park or on the beach. After all, plastic water bottles are one of the most common items we find at all of our cleanups and do not want to be creating even more waste.
Go make a difference and help to celebrate a huge milestone for 4Ocean!
