If you’ve ever made the trek down to Little River or Coconut Grove just to vibe at Magie Wine Bar, you can officially stop checking the Brightline schedule.

Opening mid-October, Magie Wine Bar is making its highly anticipated Broward County debut and setting up shop right here in Fort Lauderdale’s Flagler Village!

Located at 551 North Federal Highway #600, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301, the 1,400-square-foot second-floor location will bring the same unpretentious, late-night energy that has made Magie a neighborhood favorite to our backyard. Designed as a place to settle in and stay awhile, this will offer locals a laid-back setting to enjoy a vast selection of wine, grab a bite, and let the night unfold.

The magic behind Magie comes down to co-owners Caroline Strauss and Chef Ivan Barros, who have built the brand around community and a little dose of spontaneity. Strauss brings serious industry street cred as a South Florida hospitality veteran (including roles as the global F&B Director at Ennismore, plus local stints at Macchialina and Broken Shaker), while Barros is a celebrated chef, Food Network’s Ciao House Season 2 winner, and Chopped champion. Together, they’ve designed the perfect space where food and wine feel anything but stuffy.

“Every new city we open in, we ask the same question: how do we make this place feel like ours from day one?” says Caroline. “That’s what hospitality means to us — a room that feels comfortable and welcoming the moment you walk in, the kind of place where late nights turn into memories. Fort Lauderdale is the next stop on that journey as we grow up on the East Coast, and it already feels like the right one.”

Just like Magie’s Miami locations, the Fort Lauderdale outpost will feature a fun snack menu with the kitchen staying open late. Designed for grazing, sharing, and pairing, the lineup brings the playful, bold flavors Barros is known for to a casual wine bar setting. Options include crowd favorites such as caviar dino nuggets, charcuterie boards, escargot, truffle grilled cheese, Caesar fries, and more.

Because we love a good deal... Magie’s $35 bottomless wine experience (two hours of unlimited pours) and daily Happy Hour from 6 to 8 PM are guaranteed to become a regular in the rotation. Add in the daily $5 hot dogs, and you've got the ultimate high-low combo we didn't know we needed.

To keep things fresh, the Fort Lauderdale location will host regular pop-ups, collaborations with local businesses, and singles, game, and craft nights. If the events at their Little River and Coconut Grove locations are any indication – think Adam Sandler Sundays, Live Music Wednesdays, and Chef’s Night Off – we are in for a treat with their weekly programming. With its approachable, cozy atmosphere, it’s the perfect excuse to turn a random Tuesday into a whole moment and meet some new faces.

“We’ve always wanted Magie to feel like a place people can make their own,” said Chef Barros. “You can come in for the wine, stay for the food, meet people, catch a pop-up, or just hang out. Fort Lauderdale gives us a whole new community to do that with, and we’re excited to see what happens.”

So go ahead and text the group chat. Magie is packing up all the late-night hangs, killer food, and neighborhood feels that made them a South Florida favorite and bringing them straight to Flagler Village.
